We had a rollicking sail from Faro to Rio Guadiana and enjoyed the challenge of the entry to the river - with the added hazard of a dozen Opi's (little dinghies) with children at the helm leaving the river in the huge swell with 25kts of wind! Not sure their mothers would have been too thrilled to see them but they had smiles from ear to ear. We chose to stay on the Spanish side of the river so changed flags and time zones but then found the staff at Ayemonte marina less than friendly and the facilities not matching the price tag so this morning we set off back down the river, changed flags and time zones and are tucked up in Vila Real de Santo Antonio!! All adds to the spice of life! Now we are sheltering from the drizzle and catching up on admin! Tomorrow it's an early start and we're heading for Chipiona.
