After exploring Frioul, we set off eastwards with great hopes of reaching a new destination on Easter Sunday only to be trounced by weather and plastic fatigue! A handful of sliders on our main sail decided to break taking the main sail out of commission, which meant either motoring into strong winds with lumpy seas to our destination or turning down wind and sailing back to Frioul. Well, we’re sailors not motorboaters so it was back to Frioul! We’re now back in our little anchorage having mended the broken sliders on our main (dropped the boom as well to reposition the ram’s horns!) and ready to set off again but not until the 30+ knot winds die down!!! No need to get beaten up if we don’t have to! On the plus side, we had delicious roast duck for Easter dinner with all the trimmings, followed by Cadbury’s cream eggs for pudding!
