Sailing took a back seat for the day – we went to the Sir Vivien Richards’ Memorial Cricket Grounds and watched England play the West Indies! What an amazing experience. It was the third day of the ODI series (tied at one all) and, on the advice of our taxi driver, we had seats on the lower level in the southern stands. We found ourselves in the midst of the West Indies supporters who were happily drinking rum, eating jerk chicken, popcorn and peanuts. By the end of the game the peanut shells covered the terraces in a fine layer. The atmosphere was great with the West Indies supporters clapping a good shot from England as heartily as they did for their own team.
