After a day spent cleaning and tidying we are now ‘fit for purpose’ were it not for the horrendous number of barnacles that have attached themselves to our propeller. James’ attempts to remove them were rewarded with sliced fingers (despite gloves) so we have decided to lift OR and do the job properly. A bit of a delay to our travels further afield but the decision came with a bonus – Honey Ryder (Tom and Sabrina) have appeared in the anchorage and we made plans with them to, amongst other things, mount a raiding party to scrump mangoes, gate crash the opening of the Memorial d’ACTe and take a trip up the Rivière Salée to Grande Cul-De-Sac Marin. And, we have now christened our magnificent goblets with an excellent Ocean Rainbow Rum Punch – truly the nectar of the gods.
