Peppered Bottom and Pepper Pot

Antifouling 004Antifouling 005After lots of comments about our blog while we were back in UK we decided to try and turn over a new leaf.   There's going to be less about sundowners and more about adventures, people and, I guess, food!  Well, we can always hope and since we haven’t had a rum punch yet it's looking good so far.   On the boat front, OR has spent one day looking less than pretty with a bottom peppered grey with interlux primer but then we put on the second coat of primer which promptly turned her yellow for another day!  However, a bonus of having to wait for coats of paint to dry is that we were able to have a leisurely lunch yesterday and enjoyed a Pepper Pot Medley with vegetable rice and pumpkin.  The medley aspect was the meat content – pork, beef and goat! – prepared in a sauce using seasoning peppers, onions and anything else to hand (the chef’s description, not mine!).  Delicious.   It’s still hot, hot, hot here but rain is forecast so here’s hoping we get all the antifouling done and dry in time.
