At last we have found time to mount the WiFi Bat!   It's not all tickety-boo quite yet but we have run the wiring through the boat and mounted the bat on the gantry ... next move is to see if we can communicate with the outside world using all our new gizmos.

Ocean Rainbow has won the Cyril Watts Trophy for the second year running!  We now have a matching pair of wine glasses and whisky tumblers.  If we can find a really safe space in which to stow the glasses we may well break our 'no glass on board' rule!

Karen celebrated her birthday on board Ocean Rainbow yesterday and took the helm today on our shakedown sail.   It was good to have another pair of hands as we did need to make a few adjustments!

Really good to welcome Roxanne and Graham on board for lunch today.    Hopefully this will be their last visit to OR in inclement weather and we shall be able to welcome them aboard in the Caribbean or further afield.

Not sure we'll be out in the Channel tomorrow if this snow doesn't disappear!    Very pretty though and OR is warm and toasty inside.

Whilst the Boat Show might have been a lot smaller and lot quieter than in previous years, we came away delighted with our purchases.  We now have an Irridium phone with all the additional gizmos (thanks Ed Wildgoose for all your help and advice), some unbelievable wrenches, waterproof binos and a waterproof ipad case!   A […]

We're almost finished with the water purifier installation thanks to the skills of Jon Lister!  It's now located in a space completely out of the way and Claire hasn't lost any of her galley storage space.  Success - everyone happy!

After months of nagging Ray and Rich I have finally got my wardrobe!  Not exactly Ikea specification but just what I need for the few items I wish to hang up whilst we cruise the high seas!  The roundels holding the poles are teak from "Appaloosa" so not just any old wood!
