Locks still not going too well but the trip down the Canal de Chelles was lovely with swans taking off in front of us and our first experience of overtaking a barge in a narrow channel.   Only a short day as we wanted to see Notre Dame des Ardents so we tied alongside a canal boat at the Base Nautique de Lagny-sur-Marne surrounded by trees, geese and ducks.   Our visit to the old Abbey did not disappoint, the lighting is truly amazing.  Our tranquil mooring spot turned out to be a tad noisier than expected ... the RER ran behind the trees on the opposite bank!!
