Exhilarating, scary, totally fabulous – a few words to describe our Aves de Barlovento to Bonaire trip. Surfing down the waves at 10.2 knots was awesome. We had our hearts in our mouths at times but Ocean Rainbow and Humphrey Hydrovane didn’t let us down. As a result of the expert advice from Robert on Moody Mistress, Claire has lost her 'fear' of the spinnaker pole and is happy to help James on the foredeck. It certainly paid dividends as we bowled along in winds up to 30 knots with a beautifully balanced boat romping along in sparkling seas. Now we are all set for Wing on Wing (goose winging) sailing in a straight line to our next adventure!! In our family folklore, St. Robert is now up there with St. Steve of Freebooter. Are all Moody 425 owners Sailing Saints?
