Spectacular is the only way to describe Los Roques and our 5 day stay in Venezuelan waters.   Some beautiful beaches, stunning crystal clear azure waters and amazing fish.  And, hundreds of boobies …. of the feathered variety!   What an amazing sight greeted us as we anchored in Isla de Barlovento - boobies at all stages of development nesting in the mangrove trees.  We were totally captivated by the curious fluffy chicks, the white plumed and blue billed juveniles and then the bright orange feet for which Boobies are famous.   Spectacular.   What a treat, we could have stayed much longer but time ticks by and there’s still Bonaire to investigate!
