It’s all action here in ‘Gwada’! For Valentine’s we dressed for dinner on board with the cockpit decorated with hearts, lights and all things red but before we could capture the moment on film the heavens opened and we were forced down below. It was a lovely dinner but not quite the setting we’d planned! On Sunday, still in party mood we set off to watch the ‘Dimanche Gras’ in Pointe a Pitre. What a spectacle and what fortitude the crowds showed as they sat for hours to ‘bag’ their seats and then further hours watching the procession. It was fabulous to be able to see the costumes and enjoy the carnival atmosphere. With our ears ringing we returned to OR before darkness set in to enjoy the ‘noise’ from the comfort of our cockpit.
