Having endured 30knot winds on the nose (i.e. from the southeast) to get down to Laborie – only to turn around again and go back to Soufriere because the swell in the bay would have been too uncomfortable for words – only a day later we found ourselves heading back up to Marigot Bay and the winds had turned 180° and were from the northeast so …. you’ve guessed it ….. once again the wind was on the nose! James gave up in disgust and went below for a kip while Claire enjoyed her helming and raced with seagulls all the way to Marigot Bay. Once anchored in the bay we joined Freebooter for an excellent supper – cooked by Steve – and an evening filled with lots of laughs.
