It wasn't exactly a clear run home from Salcombe but we did make it back in one piece. The weather was kind to start with and we rounded Lands End in calm conditions and sun! The tidal conditions off Nash Point created their usual challenges that we had almost forgotten after 4 years away ...and then came the rain, but we arrived back in the lock at Portishead safe and sound. So ends our Caribbean adventure. We moved on board Ocean Rainbow on 1st April 2013, set sail on our adventures in June 2013 and returned almost four years to the day and have swapped our home on the water back to our home on land. It's good to be home. We've absolutely loved the travelling, seeing new places, people and cultures but there's nowhere quite like home. We'll miss the warmth, the swimming and snorkelling but we shall look forward to finding new places to blog about next year, after we have made Ocean Rainbow ready for her next adventure down the canals of France to the Mediterranean.
