Once more back in Rodney Bay to book out of St Lucia!   This time a little more leisurely so on Saturday night we were able to invite David (from Serendipity, an Oyster 58) on board for a sundowner.   On Sunday, after a very good sing-a-long at church in Castries, we returned to Rodney Bay in time to watch the ARC ‘Parade of Sail’ (perhaps a rather grand description of the sight we saw from a distance) and joined in the festivities on the Board Walk, which marked the ARC setting off from the Canaries.   The steel band were great.  We had a couple of beers with David at Café Ole and then repaired home to a relaxed evening in preparation for crossing our next acceleration zone to Martinique.  Let’s hope the weather forecast is accurate – we trust Tuesday’s weather, forecast to be a predicted 40 knots, does not arrive a day early and make the crossing any more challenging than necessary!
